It’s being reported that Notre Dame Fighting Irish starting quarterback Everett Golson has been dismissed from the college  after getting caught cheating on his final exams, the pressure of leading the team falls to Tommy Rees and Andrew Hendrix.

Rees has the most starting experience, with 18 career starts and will likely resume his starting quarterback job. Rees has a unique opportunity in college sports, a second chance to be a starting quarterback at an extremely prestigious university and football powerhouse. Despite Hendrix being a fourth year junior, he has only thrown 44 passes in his entire college career with one touchdown and it seems unlikely that he will win the starting job this season.

What happens to the Fighting Irish this year and who becomes the new starting quarterback for the team? We shall see what the future holds for the team that were the runner-up for the BCS Championship last season.
